Is it possible for some humans to have evolved from felines?
Is it evolutionarily possible for some humans to have evolved from felines?
Lets compare the skull of a human with that of a cat
These skulls do not look that similar but what if we look closer
Both skulls appear have a clear gap in their eye sockets with their being an open gap in the cat skull but a closed gap on the human skull. But thats not all
Both skulls have two separate bony plates with a fissure down the middle and along the shape of the nasal cavity and fissures where their nose bone and skull meet. Both even have a triangular shape nasal cavity.
Such features are not found among the skulls of the great apes such as this chimpanzee
Despite the fact that ape and typical human skulls have a closer resemblance
Felines are have a bone structure similar to primates with opposable thumbs

Feline claws and human fingernails are also made from keratin.
Feline eyes and human eyes are also anatomically similar. A study done in 1924 which studied the anatomical function behind the blue color of some human eyes used the eyes of dead kittens to study this which was only valid due to the anatomical similarities between human and cat eyes. The study is cited below.
The American Journal of Physical Chemistry, Bancroft, Wilder D., 1924, pages 498-501, https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.229329/page/n5/mode/2up
Feline also have predominantly light-reflective cells which gives them their bright and vibrant coloration similar to how some humans have naturally bright golden-reddish hair and light eyes. The aforementioned study also confirms this.
So it seems it is of was possible for felines, through natural selection modifying their bodies to develop primate like and in turn human like traits since the differences between cats and some human are variational. Nature could reshape the soft tissue and bones of a feline species into a human species given enough time to for natural selection to select for those modifications However this is merely curious speculation but given the aforementioned evidence it does seem possible for felines to develop primate-like traits based on their anatomy.
